The following is a general guide to the types of fishing on offer.
River Cashen Ballybunion; The river Cashen is located past Ballybunion golf club and park your car beside the sand dunes. There can be surf fishing for bass when conditions are suitable, flooding tide and lugworm as bait are the best combination.
River Feale Listowel Co. Kerry. The best time to fish for salmon is between March and April and again in August and September. It is best to fish for sea trout in April, July August and September subject to water levels.

Kilteery Pier Glin; Kilteery Pier is located 2 miles outside Glin Between Glin and Loughill. There is a large car park at the pier. Bottom fishing using fish bait, crab and lugworm produces thornback ray, flounder, plaice, bullhuss, dogfish, and conger.
